Featuring the Estate of the late Stuart Bart To be held in two parts, along with other fine estate and collector property. Stuart Bart (1917-2010) attended Columbia University and received a Masters Degree in Advertising from Pratt. He worked for BBD&O advertising until beginning his own advertising firm, Bart Inc., on Madison Avenue in 1932. He operated this firm for 20 years. After, travel he returned to Manhattan and in 1958 he opened, "The House of One Hundred Antiques" on 57th St. where he benefited from his keen eye, love of collecting and research. This auction features Asian and Ethnographic art from the Collection of Ron Krannich that he amassed over the last 35 years.  As a travel writer he spanned the globe, and as a collector he purchased items he was passionate about along the way.  

Other highlights in the auction include American, English and French 18th and 19th century furniture and decorations, the steel sculpture featured above by Ernest Trova, a bronze of Cupid and Psyche by Eugene-Ernest Chretien, a 16th century portrait of Virgin and Child from the Circle of Pieter Coecke van Aelst, several works by Savannah artists Myrtle Jones, Christopher Murphy Jr. and Sr., Hattie Saussy and others.
