The Rev. John L. Walch, priest and artist of Oklahoma City, OK had a life long love affair with Asian art and artifacts. He began his collecting in the early 1940's as a student at the Art Institute in Chicago. His sources were major auction houses in the U.S., antique and Asian dealers in San Francisco, Boston, Baltimore, Chicago and New York. A world traveler, he also added to his collection buying in Rome, London, Japan, Southeast Asia and Hong Kong. Fr. Walch was a charter member of the Cloisonne Society.
