Lark Mason Associates, the eponymous art auction house, offers in the Spring Auction of Asian Works of Art a wide selection of paintings, ceramics, works of art, and furniture, including a fine group of items from the imperial workshops. Imperial workshop items include two large beautifully painted posthumous portraits, a zitan and jichimu throne-form armchair, and peachbloom waterpot. In addition to these items, the sale includes an extraordinary pair of Huanghuali Yokeback Armchairs dating from the late Ming dynasty, an extremely unusual junyao incised saucer from the Peters Collection, and a fine selection of Chinese snuff bottles from a Texas collector.

This auction features Asian and Ethnographic art from the Collection of Ron Krannich that he amassed over the last 35 years. As a travel writer he spanned the globe, and as a collector he purchased items he was passionate about along the way.
Other highlights in the auction include American, English and French 18th and 19th century furniture and decorations, the steel sculpture featured above by Ernest Trova, a bronze of Cupid and Psyche by Eugene-Ernest Chretien, a 16th century portrait of Virgin and Child from the Circle of Pieter Coecke van Aelst, several works by Savannah artists Myrtle Jones, Christopher Murphy Jr. and Sr., Hattie Saussy and others.
