The Charlotte and Don Smith Collection of Ruhstaller and Buffalo Beer Advertising is the most extensive of its kind. It represents a number of one of a kind items including an important die-cut calendar of an Indian Maiden and large factory scene of the brewery. The comprehensive tray collection comprises thirty-six versions along with nine tip trays. Other highlights include a rare reverse glass sign and stained glass window commissioned for the tap room of the brewery. This auction features Asian and Ethnographic art from the Collection of Ron Krannich that he amassed over the last 35 years. As a travel writer he spanned the globe, and as a collector he purchased items he was passionate about along the way.
Other highlights in the auction include American, English and French 18th and 19th century furniture and decorations, the steel sculpture featured above by Ernest Trova, a bronze of Cupid and Psyche by Eugene-Ernest Chretien, a 16th century portrait of Virgin and Child from the Circle of Pieter Coecke van Aelst, several works by Savannah artists Myrtle Jones, Christopher Murphy Jr. and Sr., Hattie Saussy and others.
