During its inaugural auction East-West Fine Arts will present European Old master and 19th century paintings, drawings and prints as well as Asian works. Some of the featured items will include a drawing by Jacques-Louis David (French, 1748-1825), a painting by Charles-Francois Daubigny (French-1817-1878), a Qing Dynasty "Quan Yin" jade, a snuff bottle by Meng Zishou, as well as a monumental 19/20th century Chinese jade of exceptional quality. This auction features Asian and Ethnographic art from the Collection of Ron Krannich that he amassed over the last 35 years. As a travel writer he spanned the globe, and as a collector he purchased items he was passionate about along the way.
Other highlights in the auction include American, English and French 18th and 19th century furniture and decorations, the steel sculpture featured above by Ernest Trova, a bronze of Cupid and Psyche by Eugene-Ernest Chretien, a 16th century portrait of Virgin and Child from the Circle of Pieter Coecke van Aelst, several works by Savannah artists Myrtle Jones, Christopher Murphy Jr. and Sr., Hattie Saussy and others.
