Opportunity to win original charcoal sketch by portrait artist Michael Shane Neal of artist John Singer Sargent plus incredible stays and experiences in the Cotswolds and New Forest, England at our fundraiser benefit Auction for Broadway Museum & Art Gallery.
Help us to tell our story of the incredible Broadway colony of American artists and writers including Henry James, Edwin Austin Abbey, Frank Millet and John Singer Sargent, who lived or visited, worked and played in Broadway between 1870 and 1920.
There is no “museum fairy” giving us money to fund our exhibitions (if you know of one, please tell us). It is important that we raise funds to ensure that Broadway Museum & Art Gallery continues to protect and display the past, while providing old and young museum-goers with opportunities for discovery and learning.

Most of the property in the auction comes from the Estate of Lonnie and Emily Wurn. The Wurns were married 73 years and spent much of that time traveling. They went around the world three times, developing a keen eye for quality and started collecting on their travels. Both were also very involved in their community. Mr. Wurn was a trustee at the Cummer Museum in Jacksonville.
Highlights from the auction include a pair of Blackamoor gures, a pair of Carl Thieme lidded urns, a Chinese stone-mounted six panel screen, many pieces of cloisonne and various pieces of porcelain.
Enjoy the sale!
