Flora Crichton was elegance incarnate. In her life, she helped many presidents to get elected, including Eisenhower, Nixon, Reagan, and George H. W. Bush. Through her work she became close friends with President George H. W. Bush and his family. With the items in these auctions, she hosted presidents, prime ministers, and many other illustrious individuals.
All proceeds from the auctions of Flora Crichton’s collection will enhance her legacy by enriching a foundation — the Flora Cameron Foundation — that supports Crichton’s philanthropic endeavors. This foundation supports a variety of charitable efforts, including the Cameron Park Zoo and the Art Center in Crichton’s native Waco, the William Waldo Cameron Forum on Public Affairs at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and the Flora Cameron Lecture in Politics and Public Affairs at Trinity University in San Antonio.

This auction features Asian and Ethnographic art from the Collection of Ron Krannich that he amassed over the last 35 years. As a travel writer he spanned the globe, and as a collector he purchased items he was passionate about along the way.
Other highlights in the auction include American, English and French 18th and 19th century furniture and decorations, the steel sculpture featured above by Ernest Trova, a bronze of Cupid and Psyche by Eugene-Ernest Chretien, a 16th century portrait of Virgin and Child from the Circle of Pieter Coecke van Aelst, several works by Savannah artists Myrtle Jones, Christopher Murphy Jr. and Sr., Hattie Saussy and others.
