The sale features property from the Estate of Dorothy Farnan, who was a friend and biographer of W.H. Auden. Other highlights include the sporting prints and paintings of the former Jockey Club on Central Park South; the Art Nouveau Sculpture Collection of Barry Ivan; and a group of vintage jewelry from the collection of a New York Jewelry Designer. The prints and drawings portion of the sale includes many 17th to 20th century prints, engravings and dry points, including works by Icart and Dali. The sale also features a wide range of 18th 20th century pieces ranging from early carved wooden figures to Art Nouveau bronzes and works by Villanis, Fortiny and Fremiet. Fine Arts highlights include European and American paintings by Castiglione, Clare, Luks, Bockstiegel and Fachinetti.
