Specializing in sculpture and painting, her clients ranged from John D. Rockefeller III to Igor Stravinksy and Jacqueline Kennedy. In addition, many major collections of Asian Art in museums such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Cleveland Museum of Art, The Norton Simon Museum of Art, Asia Society, and The Brooklyn Museum, are greatly indebted to her influence. This auction features Asian and Ethnographic art from the Collection of Ron Krannich that he amassed over the last 35 years. As a travel writer he spanned the globe, and as a collector he purchased items he was passionate about along the way.
Other highlights in the auction include American, English and French 18th and 19th century furniture and decorations, the steel sculpture featured above by Ernest Trova, a bronze of Cupid and Psyche by Eugene-Ernest Chretien, a 16th century portrait of Virgin and Child from the Circle of Pieter Coecke van Aelst, several works by Savannah artists Myrtle Jones, Christopher Murphy Jr. and Sr., Hattie Saussy and others.
