Musical star Mitzi Gaynor has wowed audiences for years with her amazing multi-talents. As television rose to become the most popular medium in entertainment, Mitzi soon found herself entertaining audiences in their homes in her many musical specials. Every major musical and dramatic star in the business flocked to become part of the highly-rated extravaganzas (Mitzi & 100 Guys), gaining Mitzi another crown as the leading musical star of television. Mitzi was renowned for wearing unique and glamorous costumes designed for her by Bob Mackie. Bob Mackie built his reputation dressing Hollywood's greatest stars, such as Mitzi, Cher, and Carol Burnett. Mackie's talents did not stop there, and for over 50 years, the famed designer has parlayed his creativity into a business that now includes sportswear, fragrance, collectible Barbie dolls and home furnishings. While his stunning gowns have always drawn attention from fashionable artists of the entertainment industry, his designs are now enjoyed by everyone. This sale represents a decades long partnership between Mitzi Gaynor and Bob Mackie, two entertainment icons who changed the world through their vision and creativity. This is your chance to bid and own a piece of Hollywood History. Highlights from this auction will be on display at The Museum of Television and Radio, 465 North Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90210 from April 11th May 6th.
