This sale features a group of fine period 19th c. furnishings and decorative objects from Ridgely, formerly the Catskill Manor of Viscount Frances Margesson.These are led by a choice group of 19th c. French neoclassical furniture as well as a several fine English examples from the George III and Regency periods.
Other highlights of some of the select additions of fine 19th and early 20th century decorative accessories include a Walter Kuhn oil on canvas portrait of his Jamaican mistress, two rare cubist sculptures attributed to Alice Morgan Wright, a good group of antique Persian and Oriental rugs and carpets including a fine Dabir Kashan Persian carpet, a nice group of antique and estate jewelry as well as a large Enrico Donati painting.

This auction features Asian and Ethnographic art from the Collection of Ron Krannich that he amassed over the last 35 years. As a travel writer he spanned the globe, and as a collector he purchased items he was passionate about along the way.
Other highlights in the auction include American, English and French 18th and 19th century furniture and decorations, the steel sculpture featured above by Ernest Trova, a bronze of Cupid and Psyche by Eugene-Ernest Chretien, a 16th century portrait of Virgin and Child from the Circle of Pieter Coecke van Aelst, several works by Savannah artists Myrtle Jones, Christopher Murphy Jr. and Sr., Hattie Saussy and others.
