Opportunity to win original charcoal sketch by portrait artist Michael Shane Neal of artist John Singer Sargent plus incredible stays and experiences in the Cotswolds and New Forest, England at our fundraiser benefit Auction for Broadway Museum & Art Gallery.
Help us to tell our story of the incredible Broadway colony of American artists and writers including Henry James, Edwin Austin Abbey, Frank Millet and John Singer Sargent, who lived or visited, worked and played in Broadway between 1870 and 1920.
There is no “museum fairy” giving us money to fund our exhibitions (if you know of one, please tell us). It is important that we raise funds to ensure that Broadway Museum & Art Gallery continues to protect and display the past, while providing old and young museum-goers with opportunities for discovery and learning.

Ranging from extremely rare 15th and 16th century texts to signed first editions of Ayn Rand, this sale encompasses 6 centuries of man's drive to record and share information. The topics are varied, and include religious and historic texts such as St. Bonaventure’s Pauper’s Bible and History of Alexander the Great, both 15th century; a 1793 version of Adam Smith’s The Wealth of Nations; John Dryden’s translation of the works of Virgil; Sir Walter Raleigh’s History of the World, and The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbons. Many of the texts are very desirable first editions, and all fit seamlessly into the classic western literary canon.
Works like these are held in great libraries throughout the world; they influenced the Founding Fathers in their creation of our great nation, and helped form the foundation for the Western world as we know it today. We are happy to share this important collection with those able to visit our gallery at 210 West Mill Street, New Braunfels, TX.
