Century Gorham Sterling Silver Polar Exploration oval ice bucket. Founded in 1831, Gorham Manufacturing Company is one of America's largest manufacturers of sterling. This unique ice bucket depicts a polar exploration scene, decorated with icicles on the outside of the bucket and with polar bear figures sitting over the handles and on the spoon. the sale include an oil on canvas by Hermann David Salomon Corrodi. Corrodi (Italian,1844-1905). His work mostly consists of landscape and Orientalist style paintings. This painting, dubbed "Ruins in the Roman Campagna", depicts the ruins of Roman structures during a sunset in Italy. The painting is estimated at $10,000 - 20,000 and available for bidding now. The set is comprised of a coffee pot, two tea pots, chocolate pot, covered sugar bowl, tea caddy, cream jug and waste bowl. The set is decorated with a procession of neoclassical Greek figures and mythological figures, similar to those on the Parthenon frieze.
